Ken Well Manager

The Ken Well Manager (KWM) is Liberty Lift’s flagship RRL automation platform and one of the most capable pump-off controllers available in the industry today. Built on a rugged IIoT edge device, the KWM combines real-time surface and downhole data, advanced control algorithms and cloud-based accessibility into a single system purpose-built for rod pumped wells.

Drive Packages

Liberty Lift offers two drive packages for rod lift applications, each engineered to optimize motor speed and energy performance. Both integrate seamlessly with the Ken Well Manager for full-system visibility and control.

Standard, six-pulse VFD

The VFD gives operators precise variable frequency drive speed control over the pumping unit motor, allowing the system to adjust stroke rate in real time based on well conditions. The result is improved pump fillage, reduced energy consumption and less mechanical stress on the rod string and equipment.

  • Adjustable acceleration and deceleration with linear or S-curve profiles

  • DC braking standard; dynamic braking not required
  • HP range: 3-100 HP at 230V / 3-300 HP at 480V

ReGen AFE

The ReGen AFE is Liberty Lift’s Active Front End VFD package – the most environmentally advanced drive option available for rod pumping systems. Unlike a conventional six-pulse VFD, the ReGen AFE has the ability to send clean, reusable power back to the grid during the out-of-balance portion of the pumping unit cycle. When operators coordinate with their energy provider to enable grid regeneration, the result is meaningful energy savings and stronger ESG performance.
  • Advanced VFD speed control with full braking torque
  • Optional excess power flows back to the grid, eliminating braking thermal losses
  • Inherently low harmonics meeting IEEE 519 standards - automatically filtered based on motor loading changes
  • No brake resistors or harmonic filters required

Unit Sentry

The Unit Sentry is a dedicated safety and monitoring device designed specifically for Liberty Lift XL Long Stroke pumping units. It provides continuous protection against mechanical faults and operating exceedances, automatically shutting down the unit and setting the emergency brake when conditions fall outside defined parameters. The Unit Sentry monitors critical operating parameters in real time, giving field personnel immediate visibility into unit status and fault history without requiring a trip to the wellsite.

Fault Monitoring & Protection

  • Vibration fault: shuts down unit and sets emergency brake if vibration exceeds set sensitivity
  • Overspeed fault: shuts down unit if SPM exceeds the overspeed set point
  • High load fault: shuts down unit if PPRL exceeds maximum polished rod load set point
  • Low load fault: shuts down unit if MPRL falls below minimum polished rod load set point
  • No oil pressure alarm: alerts when oiling system pressure falls below 1.0 psi
  • High/low oil pressure alarm: alerts when pump pressure exceeds or falls below alarm set points
  • Loss of load signal alarm: alerts if communication between load cell receiver and load cell is lost
  • VSD/RPC fault: shuts down unit per VSD/RPC determination
  • Customer-defined fault inputs (x2): supports additional monitoring systems installed by the operator
